Speech is a fascinating issue that interests the communicator, the linguist, the sociologist, the neurologist, the philosopher, the translator, etc., due to its plural essence and evident complexity. Our objective is twofold: to analyze Nelson Mandela's speeches as a tribute to democracy and a defense for fraternity, and to contribute to the birth of more democratic and peaceful Republics. At the heart of this issue lies the main question: what are the discursive representations of Nelson Mandela that attest to the dual dimension, the praise of democracy and the advocacy of fraternity? The methodology is based on the collection of data from the author's book and other works on the subject. Our study is based on an analytical approach and is presented in two phases: on the one hand, the praise of democracy and on the other hand, the defense of brotherhood in Nelson Mandela.Downloads
