1. Obligations to authors

Authors must ensure the originality of their contributions, of their non-submission during the evaluation and revision phase in another journal. They respect to report citations by the technique of indicating the exact sources of references.  They must declare that their submitted texts are original and that they have not been published in other journals or in collective works. If the scientific article is accepted, the author retains the intellectual property of his contribution, but grants the journal rights to publication, dissemination and online access without financial payment. In case the authors note spelling and grammars errors, they must inform the editor in order to correct them and proceed with the proposed contribution. In addition, the author of an article must specify his/her institution in which he/she works, his/her email address and ORCID ID, a biographical note indicating his/her rank, institution, status, and publications. From this perspective, knowingly providing false or fraudulent affiliation information constitutes a form of misconduct and may result in the withdrawal of the item.
All the authors mentioned in the articles submitted to Cahiers Africains de Rhétorique must agree on the fact that they are all considered as authors according to disciplinary standards. In the event of a dispute or request for change of position, at any stage of the publication process, Cahiers Africains de Rhétorique will be guided by the relevant COPE organizational chart to decide on the appropriate action(s). For this purpose, the corresponding author is responsible for communication with co-authors.  The specific responsibilities of the corresponding author are as follows:
-  Correct the manuscript and its proofreading.
-  Process revisions and re-submission of revised manuscripts until acceptance of the manuscripts
-     Accept and sign the author’s publication agreement on behalf of the co-authors concerned and/or ensure that third party copyright holders sign the agreement.
-  Pay an item processing fee (APC),
-   Act on behalf of all co-authors by responding to requests from all sources after publication
-     The corresponding change of author after submission is subject to scrutiny and formal procedure, as with any change of author.
-  The statements of the authors must be transparent and indicate who contributed to the work and in what capacity.
-     The instructions of Cahiers africains de rhétorique à l'intention des auteurs contain further information on the submission of the list of authors with manuscripts.
Also, the editor encourages authors to share data in support of research publications. Research data refers to the results of observations or experiments that validate the research results.  He encourages them to indicate the availability of their data in a data statement attached to the submitted article. With the data, the authors guarantee the transparency of the data used in the article.

2.Conflict of interest

The Editor-in-Chief, members of the Editorial and Scientific Committees and reviewers must withdraw from the selection process if there is a conflict of interest regarding one or more authors or the content of a manuscript to be reviewed. The journal, African Cahiers of Rhetoric, will avoid any conflict of interest between authors, evaluators and members of the editorial committee and the international scientific committee.
