In Côte d'Ivoire (Abidjan) and Spain (Granada), rumor management is handled differently
due to distinct sociopolitical and media realities. In Granada, social media contributes significantly to
the spread of rumors, and it is important to verify facts through specialized channels and by the
authorities to combat misinformation. In contrast, in Abidjan, false information originates in small
groups and is amplified by communication platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and others.
In both cities, the relevant authorities are working to find solutions and put an end to the uncontrolled
flow of rumors and unproven information. It is therefore crucial to implement appropriate strategies
to manage the spread of false information while taking appropriate measures. How Granada and
Abidjan are handling rumor in the face of the impact of social media? The objective of this article is to analyze the management of rumors in Abidjan and Grenada, and to reach this, it is important to
highlight the theoretical frameworks allowing the establishment of axes and criteria for comparison
