With the rise of everything digital, it becomes obvious that literary criticism in the 21st century cannot be articulated while ignoring the impact of new online platforms. The challenge lies in the way in which the two forms of criticism, traditional criticism and online criticism, long considered opposed, can coexist and complement each other. The democratization of critical speech on the internet allows for a greater diversity of points of view, but it also raises questions about the quality and depth of analyses. The article underlines that this cohabitation is inevitable and necessary, marking a new era where literary criticism undergoes a metamorphosis to include digital interaction. The current critical landscape is thus moving towards hybridization, where intellectual tradition meets the spontaneity and accessibility of digital platforms. This development brings about the emergence of a more flexible literary criticism, integrating both the rigor of traditional analyzes and the vitality of online exchanges.References
