Abstract

This article explores the central role of speech in spiritual education, at the intersection of theology, anthropology, linguistics, and pedagogy. It demonstrates that speech transcends mere communication to become a medium for the transmission of the sacred and for human transformation. Drawing on foundational texts from Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and African oral traditions, the study offers a comparative and praxis-oriented reading of speech as an educational tool. The reflection is structured around four main axes: (1) speech as a mediation of truth and wisdom; (2) the dialogical dimension of speech in spiritual pedagogy; (3) the tension between revealed and human speech; (4) the contemporary challenges of spiritual transmission in a globalized and plural world.
